Hassan Elmi, MPH, PEMPA, BSN, DRN, and TOT, is Nurse, nutritionist, public
health professional, researcher, and educator based in Mogadishu, Somalia. He
has extensive experience in clinical practice, public health, healthcare
quality improvement, and research. His academic and professional interests
include maternal and reproductive health, infection prevention and control,
patient safety, occupational health, and evidence-based nursing practice.
Abdullahi has conducted and contributed to research on healthcare workers’
knowledge, attitudes, and practices, particularly in resource-limited settings.
He is especially passionate about obstetric and gynecological (OBG) care and is
committed to improving maternal and newborn health outcomes through research,
education, and clinical excellence. In addition to his research activities, he
participates in professional development initiatives, peer review, and
capacity-building programs for healthcare professionals. His goal is to advance
nursing and public health practice while strengthening healthcare systems in
Somalia and beyond.
